*Green Drinks, an international phenomenon, is a regular gathering of people who work, volunteer or just have an interest in an environmental field or sustainable development. Typically, it’s a lively mix of people from NGOs, academia, government and business who meet for a beer after work. The idea is you come and say, “are you green?” and you’ll be looked after and introduced to whoever is there.

It’s a great way of catching up with people you know and making new contacts. Green Drinks is an organic, self-organizing network that is very simple and unstructured, but many people have made friends, found employment, developed new ideas, done deals and had moments of serendipity.
